Brahmasri Indrakanti Venkata Gopalakrishna is a highly respected Vedic Scholar, Astrologer, and Spiritual Guide based in Hyderabad, Telangana. He is the founder of the renowned center Vagdevi Jyotishalayam. Inheriting a rich spiritual lineage as the son of Surya Narayana Murthy, he has dedicated his life to studying and practicing the sacred Veda Shastras.
Having completed rigorous training in Krishnayajurveda Smartham in 2005 under the Sri Uppuluri Ganapathi Sastri Veda Sastra Parishat, Kakinada, he furthered his academic pursuits with advanced university degrees. He holds a Master of Arts (Acharya M.A.) in Phalitha Jyotisha (Astrology) with First Division honors from Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha Deemed University, Tirupati, as well as an M.A. in Telugu and Telugu Astrology from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University.
His deep understanding of astrology and spiritual discourses earned him the title of "Pravachana Visharada" from the cultural associations and an **American Honorary Doctorate (Hon.D.A.)** in Astrology from the International Astrology Federation (IAF), USA, in 2022. In a moment of profound spiritual significance, Brahmasri Indrakanti Venkata Gopalakrishna formally handed over the Mahalakshmi Temple to the renowned Sringeri Sharada Peetham — one of the four sacred Mathas established by Adi Shankaracharya. In recognition of this supreme act of service and his deep scholarly qualifications, the Sringeri Peetham honoured him with the prestigious title of Dharmaadhikari — the Guardian of Dharma.
